Ayurvedic Oil for Nerves, Joints & Vata Balance

Classical Vāta-śāmaka oil prepared by the taila-pāka vidhi with Bala (Sida cordifolia) processed in sesame oil and cow’s milk (ksheera). Traditionally used to nourish nerves, muscles and joints, and to soothe the head and senses in Kerala therapies.

Use

  • Daily Abhyanga (full-body massage).

  • Murdhni Taila applications: Shiro-abhyanga, Pichu, Shirodhara (professional).

  • Localized care for stiff or overworked areas; suitable post-travel or during seasonal Vāta aggravation.

How to apply
Warm to body temperature. Massage 10–15 min with long strokes on limbs and gentle circles over joints; leave on 20–30 min. Mild swedana (warm compress/steam) may follow.

Safety
For external use only. Allergens: sesame & milk. Patch-test before first use; avoid eyes and broken/irritated skin. Do not use during fever or immediately after meals. Store cool, dry, and away from sunlight.

Professional Use Information

Sida cordifolia, Lac, Sesame oil

Warm the oil slightly and massage over the whole body or affected areas. Leave for 30–45 minutes before bathing. Can also be used for Shirodhara or Pizhichil treatments under practitioner guidance.

For external use only. Avoid application on wounds or infected skin. Use under Ayurvedic supervision in severe neurological disorders.
