Kansa Vatki Wand

Art of Vedas

The Kansa Vatki Wand is a traditional Ayurvedic body massage tool featuring a deep Vatki (bowl-shaped) Kansa bronze head mounted on a wooden handle. Designed for full-body Abhyanga and Marma (vital point) massage, the Vatki shape allows for broader coverage across large muscle groups and back areas, supporting deeper tissue work in Ayurvedic massage practice.

Benefits of Kansa

Kansa (a blend of copper, tin, and zinc) is traditionally described in Ayurveda as a Tridoshic, balancing metal that supports circulation, eases muscle tension, and promotes a grounded, calm feeling throughout the body. The Vatki shape is particularly suited to body and foot massage applications.

How to Use

Warm your preferred Ayurvedic body oil (such as Mahanarayana Thailam or a Vata-balancing blend) and apply to the skin. Using the Vatki bowl in contact with the skin, glide in long strokes along the limbs and circular motions across larger muscle areas. Use gentle to medium pressure. Ideal for use by Ayurvedic practitioners for client treatments or for home self-massage routines.

For external use only. Not a medical device.
