Dhanwantharam Mezhukupakam

Art of Vedas

Ayurvedic Oil for Postnatal Care, Nerve Strength & Vata Balance

A concentrated Kerala preparation of the classical Dhanwantharam oil. Prepared in a sesame-oil base by prolonged snehapāka to the mezhukku-pāka stage, with Bala (Sida cordifolia), Daśamūla, and other Vāta-pacifying, brimhana herbs. Traditionally used to nourish nerves, muscles, and joints, support post-natal care, and give extra warmth and slip in Abhyanga.

How to use

  • Warm a small amount to body temperature.

  • For localized rubs (low back, joints, limbs): apply a thin film and massage 5–10 min.

  • For full-body Abhyanga: dilute 1:1–1:2 with Art of Vedas Sesame Oil or Dhanwantharam Thailam; massage 10–15 min, then leave on 20–30 min and bathe with warm water.

  • Optional mild swedana (warm compress/steam) may follow.

Notes & safety
