Copper Neti Pot

Art of Vedas

The Copper Neti Pot is a traditional Ayurvedic nasal rinsing vessel used to perform Jala Neti — a classical nasal cleansing technique from the Ayurvedic and Yoga traditions. Crafted from pure copper, the natural antimicrobial properties of copper are considered beneficial in traditional practice for maintaining the hygiene of the vessel and the integrity of the saline water used. Regular Jala Neti is traditionally valued for keeping the nasal passages clear, supporting the health of the sinuses, and complementing daily Nasya oil practices.

Key Features

  • Pure copper construction — classical Ayurvedic material with traditional antimicrobial properties
  • Ergonomic spout design — allows comfortable angled insertion into the nostril for thorough nasal rinsing
  • Traditional form — handcrafted design based on classical Neti Pot proportions
  • Care — rinse thoroughly with warm water after each use; dry completely; clean periodically with lemon juice and salt to maintain copper surface

How to Use (Jala Neti)

Dissolve half a teaspoon of non-iodised salt in lukewarm water (body temperature) and fill the pot. Tilt the head sideways over a sink, insert the spout into the upper nostril, and breathe through the mouth as water flows through and out of the lower nostril. Repeat on the other side. After rinsing, gently blow each nostril to clear residual water. Best performed in the morning before Nasya oil application as part of daily Dinacharya. Follow with 2–3 drops of Anu Thailam or Nasya oil to moisturise and protect the nasal passages.

For external nasal use only. Use body-temperature water only — never cold or hot. Consult an Ayurvedic practitioner or qualified Yoga teacher before beginning a Jala Neti practice.
